I'm an Australian, based in the Washington, DC, area of the United States. I spend a lot of time there with Jasmine, Australia's best-known speedsolver of the Rubik's Cube. Prior to the US, Jasmine and I were based in London, UK. We have also lived previously in the United States and Australia. I have worked for an Australian business rules and compliance company since 1999 in Australia, the US and the UK. I have also lectured in IT and Law related topics at King's College, London, and at The Australian National University. I have some more information and a list of publications available (pop-up window).

Sun, 22 Oct 2006 [Australian eastern time] I have disabled comments on this site due to comment spam. I have received around 4,000 spam comments in the last couple of weeks, and I have been spending more time checking them than writing content for the site! I have experimented over a year or more with various methods of blocking spam for Blosxom. I may reinstate comments if I can find a method that works with my Blosxom installation, without too much effort to filter comments manually. It's fun. It displays words and phrases from my posts and then links to them. Technorati tags for this post: Technical Zoom+Clouds Mon, 22 May 2006 [Australian eastern time]
Experimenting with Technorati tags
I've decided to start with Technorati tags on this site, with a little help from a Blosxom plugin which my brother wrote. Technorati tags for this post: Technical Technorati Sun, 01 May 2005 [Australian eastern time]I have finally responded to feedback from such luminaries as Jasmine and Beth and added a comments facility to this blog. It seems to work so far! Sun, 16 Jan 2005 [Australian eastern time]I have modified this page so it now only displays the 10 most recent entries, instead of the large number it was displaying before. All my old entries are still available under the archive heading on the left of the screen. Mon, 06 Sep 2004 [Australian eastern time]
Back after denial of service attack
This site is back after some denial of service problems at the ISP. Hopefully, everything will be clear sailing from here. |
